Inspired by the 2005 animated film ROBOTS, I doodled a few robots here and there, not really knowing how I would actually channel this new-found desire. I considered paintings so as not to be restricted by materials or lack there of. One day, I took the cradle of my dead electric eraser, a couple of old microphones, and the screen from an electric razor, and sketched out my first concept for a robot from found objects. I had no idea how I would find a body, or legs, or arms, or hands, or how I would attach anything. This was as far as the idea would go, but it was a start.
